Yesterday on the Today Show, Matt Lauer did a segment on DIY home repairs. He had a lawn specialist, Lou Manfredini, demonstrating how to repair spots in your lawn caused by pets.
Lou's recommendation to Matt Lauer for these spots was to use grass seeds coated with fertilizer. He said you have to rake the area first then apply the seed, cover the seed with peat moss, so the birds won't eat the seeds, and then water every three days.
Matt made an interesting comment, he asked Lou wouldn't the grass be greener with a different type of grass in this spot than the rest of your lawn? The experts response was YES but it won't be yellow!!!
